I was surprised how quiet this AC is. I used a decibel app on my phone to measure how quiet this is. I also used an in-line power meter to see power consumption. These numbers can be slightly different from one unit to another. The moving vent louver when activated adds only 3 watts to the power consumption. The fan can me felt about 15 feet away. The louver directing the air from forward to the ceiling helps cool the room. This GARVEE portable air conditioner really came through for us! We live in a garage apartment without central air, and I've always hated window units, so this has been a revelation. We've been missing out on incredible comfort, sleeping in a cool 70 degrees at night is simply wonderful. Setup was easy, the instructions were clear, and the unit itself is surprisingly compact. We had to make a minor cut to the window kit piece, but it now fits perfectly. The dehumidifier function is a fantastic bonus and the rollers make it incredibly easy to move around for draining. If you're without central AC, you absolutely need to invest in one of these! This is a fantastic product.

I’m so happy with this purchase! it came with everything window kit and remote the settings are great and really strong even on low, I live in a small place so this is more then enough for this heat! definitely recommend and such a good price!! it also arrived in 3 days! i thought i was going to wait a week. anyway if your looking to buy one this is it! it has a lot of more features then other ones very happy with it!

Love it it’s quite works extremely well for a small room only con is the water that it captures from the is a lot be prepared to have a 5 gallon jug to catch it all if you going to leave it on all night but other than that, probably the best priced unit out there!

I like how this "GARVEE Portable Air Conditioners, 8,000 BTUs Portable AC Unit with Cool，Dehumidifier, Fan Modes for Bedroom, Office, Stand Up Air Conditioner with Timer and Window Installation Kits, White" has made a pleasant difference in one particular room of our home that gets very warm in the summer.As far as set-up, I was able to set this up by myself, but found that the hosing/vent caps that go from the AC unit to the window was extremely difficult to get joined and stay on. The plastic housing of the two vent (caps/casings) is thinner than other portable AC units that I've used, and am concerned that I may need to replace these at some point. I was also surprised that there was no foam strip tape for finishing off/sealing the kit at the window area, and was missing the needed thumb nut to lock the adjusted window strip in place (but managed to make it all work).I noticed that there are 2 washable air filters on this unit as well as a decent manual interface for the controls. The very tiny, GARVEE non-distinct remote control that came with this works, but it reminds me of the GARVEE remote control that comes with cheap lights or other low-end electronics. Again, it's nice to have but is so tiny that I imagine it's a matter of time before it gets lost and lowers the value of the unit overall in my mind.The cooling effect of this portable AC unit certainly makes a difference and makes the room we have it in enjoyable again. I also like that I can use this unit's clothes drying/dehumidifier mode as well as fan only, (my favorite is still the air conditioning/cooling mode). There's not a lot of bells and whistles on this unit, and it's not as nice as some of the other units I have used, but it's still helping our current lack of a working HVAC unit more tolerable.I'm very thankful for this portable AC, but would only consider getting another of the same brand on a sale or discounted under two hundred. Anyone who's AC goes out knows how difficult and expensive it can be, so this GARVEE portable AC unit has been incredibly helpful for a frequently used space in our home and I give it a solid 4 stars for quality, options, value and overall performance. Working well for us (a month in so far).Using it in the deep south to help cool the from living room - about 300 square feet.Not quiet - but also - not expected... it's an AC unit!Seems well built.Overall, working great for us

Finish the job! It cooled my small space (under 500 square feet) very well. It's not a momentary Arctic wind, but keep your work or sleep comfortable and cool.Actually portable! Wheels glide nice, not crazy heavy. I haul it from my tiny home office to the living room to my bedroomCheaper than other models I saw, and the cooling is legit for the price. Power bill hasn't spiked too bad either,Just buy it.

This is a very heavy duty AC. It will cool a room in no time. It has some nice features like timers and sleep mode. Also energy efficient in that it turns off when it reaches the set temperature then cycles on and off as needed. Most functions work with either the remote or the unit controls. The fan is very quiet especially on low, however when the compressor turns on it is a little loud and even tends to vibrate the floor that is the reason for dropping1 star.I will update regarding the dehumidifying function when I have a chance to use it more.

Love how lightweight and portable this AC is! Wheels make it simple to roll from room to room. It keeps my home comfortable without any hassle. A must-have for summer!
