I was hesitant of purchasing a "knock off" solostove but will say this thing does the job just as good. I did purchase a discounted solostove table for it and it fit in there nicely. also purchased a lid as well which works well. my only complaint on this unit would be the ring(very thin and flimsy) that goes into/onto the top of the fire pit. it is very poorly designed(just sits on 4 tiny brackets on inside of pit)and easy fell into the pit when bumped w a log one time I was putting some in. it was impossible to get retrieve it and place back on. overall I would recommend this firepit for someone looking for an alternative to the higher end Solostove brand. it works just as well for less than half the price. one last thing the Removable Ash bin made cleaning it up a breeze.

The fire pit itself works great and is easy to clean after each use. Don’t expect to have no smoke (Smokeless), but there is less smoke.With regard to the design flaws of this fire pit.1. The ring which sits on top of the fire pit is secured by four small clips. These clips hold the ring in place, but the ring easily falls out of the clips if bumped or touch; such as when you are using the poker to stir the fire. (Pictures 1 & 2)2. The legs which are placed on the underside of the fire pit when assembling do not make a tight connection to the base. When installing the legs you need to push four notches into their matching holes on the underside of the unit, and then turn them slightly to slide into a spot where they secure themselves to the base. I found that after the initial installation of the legs and turning the pit into position, the legs turned and fell out of the holes. I solved this by placing screws in the open end of each of the four holes so that the legs did not slide out of a secured position. (Picture 3)

Great deal. Solid construction. Gives off a lot of heat. Feels great at over 5 feet away even in the wind. Once it gets going there is almost no smoke or ash (the wind will blow some ash around). Easy to put together. Two minor complaints, the clips that hold on the ring on top are very small (1/4 inch) and should be bigger (1 inch would be better). Also, the legs didn't secure into the slots on the bottom. They fit in but can slide out if the whole thing is moved. That being said, I'm very happy with it.
