I absolutely love this crate I didn’t know how heavy it really was and had to bring it up 3 flights of stairs it almost took me OUT but assembly was ok for one it’s light enough to move around the room for cleaning and whatnot it fits my malinois very sturdy and holds up my mal is able to take out the pin that stops the spinning bowl door and get out but I just screwed it fixed and it was all good
My husband put this crate together in a couple of hours. The package requires a team lift about 120 lbs. We like the finished crate and so does our pup. He is 75 lbs and gives him plenty of room. This is basically a 42” standard crate with extra height and storage on top so all of the standard 42” crate pads and beds fit perfectly. We ended up not utilizing the hanging bowls. A smart dog will learn how to turn this and escape so we keep it locked. Know this crate only opens from the front and if you do want to utilize the rotating bowls on the side you need a wide footprint next to the furniture for room for the side to swing around 360 degrees. I bought 10” baskets that are 6” high for the storage compartment and it works well to hide leashes, rawhide chews, and dog treats in a convenient location. We have received many compliments and it has held up well though we have only had it a couple of months. Good value. Recommended for an already crate trained dog. If you have a puppy, train them in a wire crate first then use this. A younger dog may scratch the finish on the back wall. Also the solid back wall of the crate is nice because it keeps hair and saliva from ending up on the wall and hides cords from decorative items on top, like lamps and heated cat beds. :). This crate is perfect for an already trained well behaved large pup or would suit two medium largish dogs well that get along.
