Overall, I am impressed with this unit. The set up out of the box was straight forward. There are really only three things to do once you unpackage it. First, connect the exhaust duct and vent it out a window, second connect the drain house and run it outside or to a condensate pump unless you want to manually drain the unit when it is full. Third, plug in the power and turn it on. That is really all you need to do besides placing batteries in the remote, which is completely optional.I set my unit up in my garage in the morning. When I turned it on, the garage was just around 80° and relative humidity was 77%. At this time of day, the outside temperature was already in the low 80’s and climbing into the 90’s. It took about an hour for the temperature to drop 5°, but keep in mind that the outside temperature was climbing the entire time. What I observed, and the most noticeable difference, was in the humidity. In that hour, the humidity was reduced to around 50%. I can work in a warm garage but pulling that moisture and humidity out of the air is what I am really looking forward to.The unit is easy to operate. Starting with the power cord, with a built in GFCI breaker, you just push the button to reset the breaker. Once the air conditioner has power you can select a mode. This unit has three modes, cooling, dehumidifying, and fan only. There are also controls for things like shut off timer, fan speed, swing control (for fan oscillation), and temperature. All the controls are fairly intuitive, and they are mirrored on the included remote control. With the quick set up, and the wheels on the bottom for mobility, this is a good portable a/c unit. For near the same price as a comparably sized (btu’s) window unit, this is a substantial value, because you are essentially getting an a/c unit and a dehumidifier, which ever mode you need to use. If you priced these separately, you would be close to or exceeding six to seven hundred dollars.

It cannot keep up with the summer heat in my garage but it is nice to sit by when working out there. However, it does pull a lot of humidity out of my garage. I empty several gallons per day. I recommend putting the hose into a bucket for constant drainage. The manual says that it is only needed for dehumidify mode but I've found that to be false as I have constant water drainage in AC mode. The wheels make it easy to move where you need it.

I'm confused about the other reviews being so terrible! We haven't had any power issues with the unit and it BLASTS out cool air! The only issue we've had is the window adapter piece is flimsy, but that's easily dealt with and replaceable. I will update my review if any problems occur, and after we've run it on a particularly hot day.

I’m very happy that I decided on this air conditioner! Cools the room down quickly and runs very quiet. I use this primarily in my bedroom because I keep my bedroom door closed to keep my cat out, and it will cool it from 90 degrees to 66 in about 10-20 minutes (that’s my best guess)The fact that it is drainage free is another reason why I chose it. I like the Dry setting for times that are more humid- it will dehumidify the air. The only other feature I would like for it to have would be WiFi so I could control it with my phone or set a schedule for it to run, but since it is only used in the bedroom, it’s not really necessary. The size of this would easily cool 1/2 of my house, which is approximately 1600 square feet.

For the past couple of summers our bedroom has been extremely hot. No installation in the room so when it’s hot it’s hot and when it’s cold it’s cold. THIS RIGHT HERE!!! does wonders. Our room is like an ice box now. She loves it I love it. But the only reason I didn’t give it a 5/5 because the instructions to hook up the outside vent was not right. You have to literally ridge it up so the hot air blows outside! But once you get that right everything else is easy.

I needed something that was going to cool my room because my room is over 550 feet when I pulled this air condition up. I realize that it can cool a room up to 750 feet. I am not disappointed at all and I love it.

This portable unit is replacing an old air conditioner that was built into the wall. This one is quiet and cools our living area nicely. We did have to put it on a stand to run the water hose out the window. It was difficult draining the water from the bottom plug. It’s too close to the floor to fit a pan under it. I like that it has a sleep mode and the air vent moves up and down to disburse the cool air.

I recently purchased this portable air conditioner and I must say that the installation process exceeded my expectations. I was pleasantly surprised that I didn't even need to use the screws on the window divider. Connecting the hoses was also a breeze. As soon as I turned on the air conditioner, a cool breeze immediately gave me hope to get through this hot summer day!As far as cooling performance goes, the cool mode is fantastic. It provides a coolness that rivals that of a traditional air conditioner. While I haven't had a chance to try the heating mode yet, I expect it to be just as effective.The single feature that stood out to me was the excellent airflow control. The unit features a smart design that tilts upwards to ensure that the air is not too strong or uncomfortable for the body. This is a thoughtful feature that adds to the overall convenience and comfort of the air conditioner.

Assembly was a little challenging, however, once I got it everything together, it works great!! Living room is staying cool. Unit was a good price. I saw some with less BTU's for the same price as this one.

So, do I like this air conditioner? Well it cools very well! In minutes it can cool my place down to a comfortable temperature but it's loud! Like connect your TV sound to your phone in order to hear the TV, loud. However, I think after my coupon I got this 14,000 btu air conditioner for 350.00 dollars, in my opinion it's a great deal. The good news is, it gets a little quieter the longer it runs!*UPDATE*It definitely gets quieter the longer it's left in one spot and not moved! Totally tolerable and I'm able to hear the TV over it now! I'm very happy with it!
