The bar arrived very well-packaged. The assembly instructions were clear and concise until steps 17-18, which were ridiculous. I can’t decide if this was a manufacturing error or a technical writing error, but these steps could not be completed as directed. Nine small pieces were meant to be fitted onto a larger piece with wooden dowels, and only two of these pieces were held in place with screws. Then, the entire assembly was supposed to be inverted and mated to another large piece (the other large piece was already assembled into the entire top section of the bar, with mirrors in place, so inverting the larger section wasn’t possible). Either the dowels were too small for the holes, or the holes were drilled too large, because the maze of unsecured pieces could not possibly stay in place when inverted. Luckily, I had wood glue on hand, so I glued everything in place and went about putting together other assemblies while the glue dried.The remaining assembly was pretty straightforward, but there are a couple of places where large hands will barely fit to tighten fasteners, and a stubby Philips screwdriver or a small, right-angle screwdriver will be necessary. Still, the finished product looks good and fits perfectly in our kitchen. I’d give it five stars were it not for the odd assembly issues.
