This double bin stainless steel trash can by GARVEE is a great concept. It’s about the size of a regular kitchen trash can but it has two separate bins, one for trash and one for recycling. This makes the size of each bin a bit smaller than what we’re used to for our primary trash can and the bins are getting filled up quite frequently in our household.The stainless is fingerprint proof so it’s easy to keep clean. It has a separate foot pedal for each bin, so it is hands free which is very convenient and also has slow close lids so they don’t slam down. There are handles on the sides of this bin to make carrying it easy, and the bins themselves lift out for convenient trash/recycling removal, and also have handles on each bin. On the description it showed that the inner bins are made of plastic but in the unit I received they were also stainless, so when you lift them out they make a deafening high pitched scratching noise that is just terrible but I don’t think there is anything to be done to remedy this, it’s just metal scratching on metal. Im hoping this will get better over time!My regular sized trash bags were a bit large for these smaller bins and you have to tuck them into the inner bins which takes a bit of time, but is necessary because you don’t want the bags slipping down when you begin to fill the bins.Although this trash can was packaged really well in a cardboard box and encased in styrofoam, the back of the trashcan still had a big dent. I decided to live with it since it was on the back. It’s a higher priced trash can, so you’d expect the thing to arrive in perfect condition. I’m just glad it wasn’t the front that came dented!Overall, this is a sleek and very nice upgrade to our kitchen trashcan that works really well.
