Favorable Quality -- Straight Nose

Im not quite sure why these lopper shears are listed as Wavy blade. Thankfully, they certainly are Not. I personally do not care for kriss/wavy blade style. Product photo is accurate & shears I received match as such. Upon opening, shears needed slight gentle edge deburring/finishing, which I gave myself using long medium-fine coarse sharpening steel normally reserved for kitchen cutlery. Did the trick without damaging or altering factory edge. Tool here provides a uniform clean, crisp cut when grooming my front hedges the HOA can often time neglect.

Great shears I’ve used for cutting way overgrown native grasses on my property!

I love these shears! Although they are “hedge” shears, I’ve been using them in my yard to chop down some thick native grasses I wasn’t able to get to with a lawn mower. These shears are a nice long length, so I’m able to really get into the grass and cut down nice big portions at once. I really like how easy these shears are to clean off after using them too. The blades of the shears are long and sharp, and the handles are made of a very durable material. Although the shears are a nice larger size and a bit on the heavier side, they’re really easy to use and I’ve been able to use them without any issues. These shears can definitely cut through thick grass since that’s what I’ve been using them for, so I have no doubt they’ll be able to cut through some overgrown hedges. I’m planning on using these to get some shrubs cut up and shaped next week, so I’ll update my review if anything changes. I think the price point for these shears are fair and very comparable to other brands that are sold at big box stores. GARVEE products have been really good so far and I hope to try more of their items in the future. Definitely great reliable headgear shears! Worth trying if you’re in the market for some.

Inexpensive but sharp and fairly comfortable

For a relatively inexpensive pair of shears, this garden tool is pretty good. The blades, which are thin compared to my older pair of shears, are sharp and definitely make good clean cuts. The shears are manufactured cheaply but well. The handles are supported by plastic grips that are fairly comfortable— after a half hour of work, my arthritic hands were not hurting. This pair is lightweight, which will be a benefit to my arthritis as well. Given the price, weight, and thinness of the blades, I hope the shears hold up, since working with lighter tools is a benefit at this age.
