Outstanding little shop press for the serious DIYer. Really like the remote cylinder, great as a bench top press. Seems to have a lot of power for a 10 ton press.
Looks good and for a 12 ton press at its height it fits perfect anywhere. Since I dont have a garage I set it in my bathroom for storage.A few problems arose however. Its almost as if the parts were poorly manufactured because items didnt seem to fit without flaw. This probably due to poor inspection of quality assurance.However with that said, for its price, I was willing to overlook these imperfections with simply adjusting the minor adjustments myself.One problem I ran into was the base arms (witch hold the item being pressed) the bolt holes were way off. I ended up drilling a more closer fit to make it work.For the price point, Im not too upset. However, some other person who isnt very handy might be quite upset.
Good press for the money. Definitely on the light side of construction. Didn’t come with instructions, but still very simple to assemble.
Everything bolted together and appears to work properly. I haven’t used it to press out small bearings yet but I don’t see it being an issue. I straightened a small piece of metal (1/4”x1/2”) with it just to make sure it all worked properly and did so with ease. The handle is a little awkward to push up instead of pulling down.It was missing the metal protective end cap for the cylinder. I’m hoping that the manufacturer will see this review and send the missing piece.
