This outdoor patio rug looks just like in the picture, with vivid black and an attractive contrasting white pattern. The material is a thick plastic weave that makes me think of products made from recycled plastics. (It would be terrific if that’s actually the case, of course, but I don’t know if it’s true.) I typically use fiber outdoor rugs that eventually degrade in the elements, so I’m hopeful this material will last longer. The weave is neatly woven and the stitching around the seams are tidy, though only single stitch which is a decision I question. It seems this rug is not only waterproof but will wash up easily. I chose the black design not only because I like the bold statement, but because we work on bicycles on the deck and I wanted something that won’t show grease too easily. There are stakes to pin down the loops the corners if needed. This could work nicely under a canopy for an event or camping. You could also use tie downs through those loops in a location where stakes won’t work, like on the deck or patio, if you’re worried about the rug shifting in the wind. I’ll have patio furniture on mine, so this is unnecessary, but it’s a thoughtful touch for those who do need it.I’ve had a number of GARVEE indoor rugs that look great and have held up well, so I have the same expectation for this one.
