I have a need to have my hot water heater replaced and a dryer unmounted from on top of a washing machine. Because I rarely do anything for a single reason, I purchased a table that I figured would fulfill my current and any future needs. This one seemed the best choice. I ordered it and upon checking tracking the day of the delivery, I seen a cancel notice. I contacted the seller, and discovered it had been identified as damaged in shipping and had to be returned. Since it was Garvee that did the return, I called them up and had them issue a replacement. Today I received the replacement and can see why the first one had been returned. The box it came it was beat up to the point Garvee must have used half a roll of tape just to secure it. It was so bad, that the UPS delivery guy wanted to take it back, but I told him to leave it. From what I could see peeking out of the box, it was a very robust table and odds of it being damaged mechanically would be quite slim.Luckily for me, there appears to only be a certain number of ways to assemble it. That is because there was no documentation of any kind in the box. I appreciated that most of the assembly had been performed before I received it. The wheels were installed, as was the hydraulic cylinder. After placing a call to my handyman to do all the heavy lifting, all that had to be done was connect the handle, the foot pedal, and the table top. Really. The whole assembly was 3 bolts. 2 for the handle, one for the foot pedal. and removing two acorn nuts, removing two threaded rods, reinserting the rods through a pair of rod channels and re-affixing the acorn nuts. It is highly recommended that you have two people to assemble this beast, as it is not for the faint of heart. All things being equal, it arrived only missing 2 washers (and the instructions) was an impressive feat with how bad the packaging was.Due to the double scissor nature, the lowest height is quite high, around a foot, but being able to lift up to 700lb nearly 6' is a fair tradeoff. Make sure to keep the mindset of Safety-first. Don't push the table around with it in an elevated state. The base is narrow and it will tip over (can we say outrigger project anyone?). When fully lowered, the whole thing is quite sturdy and you won't have any issues. The table top had been bounced around so much, that some of the paint had been worn off, but that is paltry when compared to what I will be doing to it, so I am not bothered enough to return it. The manufacturer could do better by using a wooden frame instead of a cardboard box. It would hold up a lot better during shipping that way. I am including an image of all the connection points. There really weren't a lot. The scissor rods are what were missing washers.
