I've an eclectic fun room that I'm doing a handicapped renovation on. I work all hours of the night and day, whenever I have the energy. A modern design gives me more energy. I want to look around the room, then laugh or smile.The first bed frame I had here was donated. It served the purpose of getting me off the floor.This twin frame has a beautiful walnut color fluted wood design at the bottom. I would like matching fluted wood walls, but I rent.This closed bottom keeps my deeply loved cats from coming out under my feet as I get up. Sometimes just getting up is a struggle. My last few years have been clouded by falls and repeat injuries, the closed bottom is on my bucket list of things that had to change. The importance of an enclosed bottom also cannot be underestimated.My brother, who was ill, died here. He slept in his room with his dog. He fell forward onto a cement block. I sat in his bed in the weeks after he died. Every time I got up from the bed, his dog came out through or around my legs. I started having the same problem with my cats. I needed to change.The bottom of the frame is low. If I do fall out of bed it isn't far to the floor. As people age we know the statictics say more of them die from falls. Most people don't dwell on getting out of bed or going up and down stairs, it pays off to make your environment safe. I feel safer with this bed frame than a plain open metal one.Under the mattress could be used for some storage. I wouldn't do much of that as I spray for bugs in Florida.Assembly of the parts took a little longer for me because the nice solid pieces on the bottom are heavy. If you go slowly to do it right on the first try, assembly is an hour with no coffee breaks.Detailed instructions with all the tools you need were enclosed. GARVEE provided info on an extended warranty. The bottom came with 3 design panels. All 3 were consistent in workmanship. GARVEE appears to encourage registration of their products.
