This cage is absolutely only 19.5 inches tall from tray bottom to top and is a 15 inch x 15 inch cube. The outside footprint with the seed guard is 18 inches. The seed guard is a joke. It was folded in 4 and would not relax so it became a warped useless addition.Pros: It is a STURDY 15: x 15" cage. It is put together with screws, not clamps. The metal is heavy and it has nice handles on the top to transport. It came in a sturdy box and assembled very nicely. Nice that you get 4 doors for food (choose your side) and a nice large front door. It will be wonderful for taking a bird outside or for travel. I will use it as a travel cate, but it is too small for even one budgie as a permanent cageI thought about taking off two stars for listing the height as 24 inches and the stupid flimsy seed spray guard, but the quality of the cage for travel and the value changed my mind.

The quality of the cage is good. It's very sturdy.My cockatiel is constantly pushing her paper part way out of the cage because there is nothing that surrounds the very bottom of the cage. A bit of a nuisance, but not a game-changer.
