Best aspects are size and transparency

BLUF: I like them upon initial inspection, but although I wouldn't call them disposable, I also wouldn't expect them to last forever. Considering the material, the price seems a tad high at about $2.39 per pot+basin unit (currently 20 units for $47.71).PROS:- Love the transparency! You can use these inside a decorative pot without fear they'll be too noticeable.- Useful for keeping an eye on root growth and moistness, or for viewing decorative potting mediums.- Probably good for epiphytic plants like orchids, which I think enjoy light on what roots they do have?- Pots are a good "standard" size -- not too big, not too small for most applications, and for those who'd like to use them as pot-in-pot, many commercially available decorative pots come in sizes that these would easily fit into. (BTW, a previous reviewer mentioned "variety of sizes," but I only got the one size advertised.)- Basins are thicker and seem more durable for their size than others I've used.CONS:- Pots aren't especially rigid and bend rather easily, though the material seems the same thickness as the basins. I didn't have to squeeze very hard to make an oval; I expect a harder squeeze would have resulted in at least a crease, if it didn't crack first. Not sure how well they'll hold up over time.- How long will the transparency last, and how well do they clean up? Anyone who keeps potted plants knows how minerals in potting mediums and water can build up over time. Only prolonged use will tell.- Considering how much of their capacity is taken up by the pots, the basins are quite shallow and will overflow if you miscalculate while watering.Multiple pictures included.
