You have to be careful of low seats while everything is healing so that you don't dislocate the new joint by bending the hip too far. So I ordered this seat and extended it to the max height. For her 5'6 frame it's working really well. It allows her to still get her walker close to the toilet and then just gently lower herself a bit and slide back onto the seat, instead of "squatting" low to sit. The armrests are really helpful when standing up too, she's only been out of rehab about two weeks so she's still adjusting to normal activities. The armrests are high enough that she can push up easily to stand and hold on to keep steady. So far, it's working really well and has been a huge help.

I take care of my aging parents, and my mother has had two hip replacements along with some other health issues recently. With all that, coupled with her arthritis, we have noticed some mobility limitations recently. I saw this raised toilet seat and thought it would be a very nice assistive aid for her to use in the bathroom, as things like sitting down low and having to get back up have become increasingly difficult for her.

I really appreciate that this raised toilet seat goes together in a matter of minutes. The assembly was reasonably quick and painless, and I was very grateful that there were no complicated fasteners or specialty tools to deal with. Everything basically just snaps into place.

The padded seat seems pretty comfortable to me. It’s a fairly standard size that fits nicely over our existing toilet. You can adjust the height of the legs very easily, and I find that just an extra inch or two above the regular toilet seat height makes a lot of difference in how much easier it is to sit down and get back up. You can adjust the width a little bit, too. There are padded hand grips on the upper rails which are a wonderful feature in my opinion, because having something to hold onto when sitting down or getting back up is such a convenience, and it definitely helps with stability. Also, they included a couple of great accessories. There is an attachable toilet paper holder that can snap onto one of the legs, and they also provide a side pocket that you can attach with little hook-and-loop straps.

Overall, I’m happy with the quality and ease-of-use of this raised toilet seat. It seems to be a relatively decent value, and I’m pleased with how well it has been helping our family so far.

I am having hip surgery in a few days: I needed some way to use the bathroom for the next 6 weeks so that my leg can not bend. This product is perfect. Put it together in 6 minutes. Was easy to do and the labeling made it easy to follow the instruction book. It’s sturdy and adjusts with ease. The anti slip feet make it so it doesn’t move on my flooring. I like this vs the ones on top of the toilet because I don’t have to remove my toilet seat to install like some, and it’s stable vs some other products out there. I would definitely recommend. Worth the cost for my needs.

Reasonably easy to assemble with well labeled components, sturdy when fully assembled and well balanced. A well designed seat with good functionality.

Each part is labeled and assembly is illustrated in a series of diagrams. Assembly itself was quick and straight forward. Easily adjusted for height. Sturdy.

Perfect! Just what we needed after my husband’s ankle surgery. Easy to assemble, easy to clean. Very sturdy and supportive. I would recommend!

For me this was a lifesaver. Sturdy, easy to move and I now have no problem getting up in a cramped bathroom.
