QUESTIONS & ANSWERS

Ask a Question
  • How often do I need to calibrate the pH meter? Before every using?

It depends on how often you need to use and how accurate you need the readings to be. All digital pH testers need to be continuously calibrated as time passed by and much times you used. It is a good idea to calibrate your pH meter once a week, especially it is being used every day. By the way, you can also store the calibration solution for about 3-4 weeks carefully, or depends on what accuracy you need. Just make sure to cover the can then the solution won't evaporate. Tips: Keep away from children, not for drinking.

  • Should I have to use calibration powder every time when using the pH meter? Have to keep buying powder all the time?

You need to calibrate the tester for accurate readings. There is a calibration powder kit in the package that has ph 4, 7, 10.01. You need to place the pH meter into pH 4 solution and push "CAL" button on the meter. It will take a second to calibrate, then repeat the steps with pH 7/10.01 solution and then the tester will be true and accurate. I keep a little pH solution of them in a small can and re-use for a while. It may take a few time to figure out and get used to it, but once you learn totally, only takes a few minutes each time for get accuracy. Hope this helps you.
