We bought an above ground pool for our son this past summer and the pump that came with it just couldn't keep up. So my husband bought this one on Garvee and I'm do glad that he did. We were able to enjoy the pool for the remainder of the summer without having to empty it due to it getting do dirty. It's quiet, not a lot of noise, it kept the water maintained and helped keep the water circulating.I would recommend it
Set up was fairly easy, pump works great and our pool has been so clear ever since!
I installed this as a replacement for a filter I installed about 7 years ago. The directions seemed clear and were very similar to the ones I've installed in the past. HOWEVER, be careful the valve ports are labeled differently than the instructions. The pump port and the return(pool) port were swapped. It made the swap out more difficult, but it works good. The labels on the valve ports are almost hidden. There is no timer function to rate.
No noise work pretty good 3/4 hp for low price
Why did you pick this product vs others?:I have had this pump for a few weeks and so far it is working good. The 3/4hp pump has made a big difference in keeping the pool clean. The filter balls are nice to have. No dealing with sand is a plus for me. Would like to have had a built in timer. That would have convinced me to give it 5 stars but other then that it's does the job really well on my 5000gal.pool.

Has been keeping my pool crystal clear so far. The only thing to note ..no power button and you must stop it completely before backwashing and rinsing otherwise you get sand backflow into your pool
Freaking awesome so far. I have a small 12' pool but circulates it in one hour. I can see the whirlpool it creates. Keep pool very clean.
