I have an Accuquilt fabric cutter and I had problems with storing the strip dies, that are approximately one foot by two feet by 1 inch. The storage racks that the company sells to store them, stored on the ends. These dies are each over $100, so when I found that the storage was damaging them, I knew that I needed to find another solution. I decided to try using this art drying rack for something totally different. The drying rack stores them perfectly, flat and not stacked. I will be able to get many more years of my dies before having to replace them.
I purchased the 25-shelf art storage rack version for my home studio, and it’s perfect. The compact design fits neatly in a corner, and the removable shelves accommodate canvases of all sizes. The wheels are smooth and lock securely, and the flat shelves promote even airflow for quick drying. It feels robust and well-made—no wobbling or weak points. Highly recommend for artists or parents looking to keep kids’ artwork tidy and damage-free!
This rack is well-built and sturdy. Easy to assemble. It is delivered in a very heavy box, so I had to ask my strong neighbor to carry it up the stairs. I was worried it might be flimsy, but absolutely not. It is heavy-duty and now begging me to make art to put on the racks. I recently started using etching inks and needed to find a place for them to dry. This is the perfect solution. If anyone has trouble with the screws and holes, it is just like all other things you put together; keep the screws loose until you are ready to adjust and tighten. I had no trouble assembling by myself - it took about an hour. The shelves are wide and sturdy. They can be used for several pieces of art, or for one large piece. The shelves are not adjustable for height, but you can easily slide out and remove one or two to accommodate a deep canvas or board. Highly recommend.
I have a small studio space, and this rack lets me dry multiple canvases vertically. Fantastic use of vertical space.
