Really pleasantly surprised that this item is as good and sturdy as it is. I thought because of the low price I might have to just get by with it but it is working well. I bought it to get a motor off my boat, which is light compared to a car motor. But it worked well with a V-8 car motor as well. One thing I really like is that it has enough height to make it easier when you pull things out. If you want to assemble it faster, what I did was lay out all the fasteners and match them up to the parts diagram to know where they go. After that, an easy assembly. Good product.
Works fine
The package arrived on time and was very well packed. Even though it was heavy the driver's delivered to my upstairs apartment. Assembly was easy and the product is very strong and worked perfectly. No problem with this hoist in lifting an engine out of the car. The price was very reasonable.
I got this to lift 12 volt batteries from a golf cart since, at age 82, I can’t lift them by myself anymore. This it does well. The assembly instructions were not great. I ended up using the picture to figure out what went where. The box it came in was trashed. One end was broken showing parts. Luckily no hardware was lost. One side was loose. The straps kept the whole thing together sort of. I gave it 4 stars because it is as described and met my needs very well.
This is a very good, well-built hoist. All the welds are excellent. Hoist works very well when assembled. My only complaint is that to attach the wheels you have to have very small hands to reach the inside bolts to attach the nuts and washers. You should also watch for sharp metal spurs inside the box metal while attaching the wheels. The hoist is great once you get it assembled. I recommend this hoist to anyone looking for an engine hoist.
