I used this when drywalling my basement, 1400 square feet. It worked perfectly and was cheaper and far more convenient than renting one. Worth every penny.
The shipping container was all beat up but luckily all the parts were there. Was easy to put together but some of the workmanship was not good. The wheel you use to crank up the lift is crooked so the wire cable catches on the handle if you are not careful. When you put the lift platform in the vertical position so you can load a piece of wall board on it one of the wire loops on the end of the platform does not work correctly. When folded in the up position it should stick up more so you can put the edge of the wall board on it and then turn the platform horizontal. But it tends to fall down and this makes it difficult to get the sheet on it. You definitely need two people to load a sheet of drywall on the lift.
Worked well struggled with the pieces that kept the boards from slipping off (the feet we called them) also should have had a way to lock it in the flat position. Good value though.
Lifts does what it is supposed to do smoothly and it feels like it will last.
Makes life easy on your shoulders
It does a great job holding drywall and the crank is easy to use. The installation for 1 person was tedious, and I missed the alignment at the base of the vertical arm. With my wife helping guide as I adjusted it, it was much easier. The only downside is this is pretty tall in its base position. Its great for tall room, and can be used in rooms with 8 foot tall ceilings, but it's a little challenging to load it if the room is less than 10 feet tall because of the base height. It is relatively light weight, easy to move and easy to raise and lower.
Made a big job almost easy. This goes together well, works great, and rolls around effortlessly. I can't imagine putting up those heavy sheets of drywall on the ceiling without it. A must have!
Got my entire ceiling done it was easier and cheaper then rental companies. This thing worked great!
Perfect for working by yourself. Sometimes you just don't have a second set of hands to handle awkwardly large panels, and this apparatus is great to help hoist and position panels. Easily set up and easily used.
