Nice addition to the mountain yard gear

Living in the Smokey Mountains, I have a lot of wood to split, chip, burn, etc.Just started using the log splitter today.. Some thoughts:1. it is heavy. I would say more than 97 pounds.2. Does not roll well on soft surface like gravel or dirt.3. Remove the cover from the release valve. There is a sticker on it.4. Open the release vales 1/2 turn and press down FIRMLY for the ram to return.5. Works best when the ends of the wood are cut straight and the log is straight.6. Not a bad shoulder workout.7. Could use a simple, 1-page manual for things like the release valve.Enjoy.

Built like a tank and got the job done this last winter.

I bought it as a gift for my son in law and he loves it. He is a big strong guy and can be tough on equipment and this splitter is holding up great. He loves it and has split a lot of wood this last winter. It is heavy… I felt sorry for the delivery person. The wheels work well on the concrete and that is a good thing.
