This is my 2nd GARVEE evap cooler. My 1st was a smaller unit for my work from home office. Living in AZ, most our weather is hot and dry. Usually very low on the humidity scale. Saves me money as it's more expensive to run the AC compared to the evap unit. During monsoon, july and august, the evaps don't work so well as the humidity shoots up. BUT all that said, I think the issue that folks are having with leakage is because the floor underneath isn't level enough. So like we tried this cooler in the much larger living room and it was helping a lot. But I did notice some water on the carpet, thought maybe I spilled. Then it kept happening, so I know it wasn't spillage. TLDR- make sure you DON'T have the unit on carpet. And if you do, my solution was to put it on a shelf we'd removed from a kitchen cabinet. This bigger unit I have it sitting on a flat styrefoam lid from a box-like cooler. In both cases, having them on a flat surface, not the carpet and they work great! Personally I always sleep with a room fan at night, so this is the same noise level as I like to have on. I use the cold packs that come with the unit, but I also put ice cubes in the water tank to get as cold as possible. Make sure to clean it regularly otherwise it can get a little slimy.

We use it in the baby’s room. Child‑lock keeps curious fingers from changing settings, and the quiet operation doesn’t wake her.

My Son's purchase. He loves it. It cools his room and he doesn't mind having to fill it with water & the ice packs that were provided

Awesome stuff stuff. Does cool room a bit. But it got mad humid after a while. Had to turn on my bathroom and kitchen exhaust to get some of the humidity out. For get the little bottles, drop ice directly into the water on both top and bottom for max cooling, tho it will sweat a lot. Just put unit over a towel
