Good Budget Fence for Large Areas, but Not Ultra Heavy-Duty

I bought this fencing for a farm and property project where I needed decent coverage without paying premium agricultural fencing prices. Overall, it works reasonably well for the money, but buyers should understand this is more of a budget-friendly fence option than a super heavy commercial-grade product. The first thing I noticed was that the wire is lighter than some of the higher-end field fencing I’ve used in the past. That does make it easier to handle and stretch during installation, especially if you’re working alone, but it also means it doesn’t feel quite as rigid or substantial once installed.I also started noticing a few small areas showing early surface rust sooner than I expected. Nothing catastrophic at this point, but enough that I think long-term lifespan will depend heavily on weather exposure and how well the fence is tensioned and maintained.Installation itself went fairly smoothly. The roll was manageable to move around, and the fence straightened out well once stretched and attached properly to posts. For general livestock boundaries, deer deterrence, or property separation, it seems perfectly usable. One thing I’m still somewhat unsure about is whether the full advertised length is completely accurate. I didn’t physically measure every foot, so I can’t say definitively, but it did seem to go quicker than expected during installation.Overall, I’d rate it as a decent value fence for lighter-duty farm or property use. Just go into it understanding that you’re trading some thickness and long-term durability for lower cost and easier handling.
