I am so pleasantly surprised with the quality and functionality of this portable air conditioner unit. We have central air, but the place we live has the sensor in a downstairs hallway where it's always cooler than the upstairs, where the afternoon and evening sun shines so brightly in the back bedroom window. Thus, when it's 72 downstairs in the dark hall, it's as high as 82 in that room. We got this unit to cool down the bedroom at night and it's so perfect! We borrowed a big name brand unit last summer when our HVAC system went down and needed a replacement, and that was loud, the hose was short, and the window needed to be 1/3 open to accommodate the hose. This unit, for a much better value, is quieter, cools so much better, and is much easier to move, and only takes up a sliver of window area. We sleep so much more comfortably with this running, and it only takes maybe 15 minutes for a room that's about 14x16 to cool from 82 to 72. This unit is so impressive for its size! The hose was a challenge to get the ends in place because it's a thin cheap plastic with no metal fastening rings at the ends, but it's holding ok. I might consider replacing it eventually, but it's working fine. The remote makes it easy to adjust the temperature without getting up, but also, there's several functions that might help others that we don't need like dehumidifying and it can just work as a fan. We have only used this on low, even when it was 95 out, but it also has a high setting. It also has a timer function, which we also don't use, since our preference is set to a temperature threshold. Definitely an excellent value for this workhorse!

Portable Air Conditioner, 8,000 BTUs - I have included a few pictures to justify my opinions...The ac unit itself seems to be just fine... runs well, cools adequately, the timer and thermostat turn on and off as expected.... so overall this unit is fine for its price point( I am comparing it to a much larger and pricier unit I also own from another brand)The "not so good" = as you see in the pictures the remote has icons that are not easy to see unless it is in direct lighting, it doesn't light up or have words so be prepared to click the wrong button.The hoses are thin and the edges are rough cuts.... again, I understand cheaper units use cheaper plastics etc... but be prepared to worry about the hose pulling out when you move it due to the thinner quality etc... but once it is set up it seems fine (I haven't moved it since)The last point I will make goes for most of these types of units, the window insert never seems to be long enough to fill all the way across the window without adding a piece of cardboard as an extension etc... and why don't they add a foam/rubber edge so that the window seals against it without leaving these gaps due to the plastic sitting against the window frame?Overall for the price it seems to be a decent freestanding AC unit for the budget minded.... I haven't had any issues with it cooling or running etc. so I am still giving it 4 out of 5.

Although the fan is somewhat noisy, it is not marketed as a quiet unit and can be adjusted to low or high. I appreciate the convenience of the remote control, which allows me to adjust modes and turn the unit on and off easily. This unit does not have a sleep mode. Just three modes - air conditioner, fan, and dehumidifier.The temperature of the unit can be adjusted within a range of 59 to 88 degrees Fahrenheit. You also have the option to set a timer, allowing the unit to operate at specific times and automatically shut off at your desired time. The airflow is strong and cool, and the adjustable vent lets me direct the air without it blowing directly on me. Unlike some other types of air conditioners, this unit does not constantly expel water. Instead, it features a hidden condensing water recycling system that partially recycles water between the condenser and the water plate until it reaches full capacity. If you don’t have a hose connected, you will need to empty the water from the unit manually, and the amount of buildup will vary depending on usage.Overall, this 3-in-1 unit offers great functionality and value and can be used anywhere you have an outlet and can fit in your space.

I would buy again if I had to no problems at all

This item is the bomb I gotta say it saved me and my gf from this heat wave that we been having cuz we stay in a rv so the central cooling system was down but when I ordered this bueaty I couldn't be happier not to mention my gf was happy as well u know what they say a happy wife is a happy life highly recommend don't really care for the sweep mode cuz you won't really need it cools a room like a champ it's small size portability also a plus and good power sooo worth it!! Shutall doors in the house and it keeps our living room nice and cold.

It does all suppose to do.. work quick cooling the area.

Cools the room promptly, noise level is good, stops automatically when it reaches you selected temperature. Looks good in a room.

It's great at keeping my room nice and cool.
