These panels are nicer than I expected for the price. This is the 5-pack, and at $14 per panel, I think the value is fair.The panels are made from a felt-like material. It does look and feel like synthetic felt, but they are well made and have a clean decorative look once on the wall. I like that they do not have the usual “studio foam” appearance, so they work better in an office, room, or small home studio where you still want things to look decent.They come with mounting strips that have Velcro on one side and adhesive on the other, which makes installation pretty simple. I also like that the panels can be removed or adjusted more easily than if they were stuck directly to the wall.I would not expect them to completely soundproof a room, but as decorative acoustic panels, they are a good option. Overall, they look good, are easy to install, and feel reasonably priced for a 5-pack.

Panels are made of a porous yet sturdy felt like material that does an excellent job of absorbing and fracturing sound waves. Measuring in around 1/2" of thickness, when I hold it up to my ear, I don't hear any background noise bouncing off them.All the panels are cut by the manufacturer with the same exact size and pattern, so if you're stacking vertically, or mounting side by side it will look like one continuously clean panel instead of individuals stuck next to each other.The mounting system provided is probably the best one I've seen yet as instead of a double sided sticky film, its super sticky strips with Velcro hooks on the other side! This fixes my most common problem where the sticky film pulls away from the felt backing and they just fall off the wall leaving me to one again pulling out a hammer and nails to rehang.The Velcro hook side attached to the flat backing very securely, you will have to apply a little bit of pressure to the panel when attaching to get a secure grip. As with any sticky tape mounting be aware of the possibility that if you need to take them down you might pull the paint off the wall, or if you didn't prep the area clean enough the adhesive won't stick.Unfortunately I had to figure this out because it didn't come with any instructions.All said and done, if they're going to be permanent, I recommend some nice finishing nails, I plan to buy more of these down the road.
