Good Goal

Seems well made, heavy and sturdy. Instructions are not the best as expected from a Chinese company. Extra hole in post that I still don’t know why it’s there but overall a good product for a fraction of the price of similar goals.

Good enough for the price

**edit** have to be fair, we lubed the jacking mechanism and it is much smoother! Still not super easy for the younger, but the orders do just fine!Listen, first things first, this was $380 when I bought it and for price I actually have no complaints and am very happy with what I got. That said, there are somethings you should know about if considering a purchase. The instructions are atrocious, but read them 10 times and constantly reference while building and youll get it!I ended up with one extra 160mm bolt/washer/nut combo which is the size that holds the pivot arms between the pole and backboard. There is an extra hole that this could fit in, but I can't make any sense of it.The adjustment deal, you spin it to raise and lower, o my goodness that isnt as easy as I had hoped. I can guarantee that younger children will not be able to adjust this on their own.Assembling the base plate with 4 hook bolts to go in the concrete. It doesnt tell you how much bolt need to protruding from the top. I took my best guess and added a little and I almost didnt have enough room on one bolt. Luckily I was able to adjust it around to get it secure enough for me feel comfortable it wouldnt topple over.I added loctite, figured why not.The pole pad is taped to the backboard on delivery and it took 30+ mins to get it off with a razor and alcohol. The pad come off quickly, but the residual adhesive was a pain! The remainder of the tape is stuck to the pole pad and it isnt coming off of there without leaving a bunch of residue. See picture. We went from a portable plexiglass hoop to this and I would say the "wobble" is similar. It isnt terrible, but it is there.Find my on YouTube ThatGuyisUnoriginalI dont have videos about this, but I can answer some questions if you have them!As for the hole, I went 21in x 21in x 32in deep. I also added this padding to make mowing more smooth and then we stamped a basketball, hand prints and a W for our last name. It took 14 bags of concrete total and as I understand it you can return unopened concrete bags so buy a few extra.I did not go the route of a concrete mixer but I would if I did this again. I say "I don't regret mixing by hand, it was a great experience, but it was very difficult after 5 bags, just so tiring! So, not the end of the world, but if I mixed concrete again, 1000% getting mixer lolIf you run into sprinkler line, just cut and reroute. Dont attempt to dig the entire thing up to move it over. Yeah, im an idiot hahaha I dug probably 20 ft of line out before I ran into some splitters which made me realize I was not going to able to just dig it out. Anywho, just reroute, that is the answer.Im in Central Texas and I didnt know it, but a few inches down it is solid rock! I ended up getting a cheap vevor jack hammer and it saved the day!!! I was trying to break it by hand and I was only getting about 1-2in per day and it was taking forever! In one afternoon with the jackhammer it was done.Consider the disposal of the excavated material. It was way more than I thought and you can't just put it in your residential trash.I ended up using a bunch of craft bags and taking them to my local transfer station.Anywho, God bless and enjoy!p.s. dont make fun of my concrete job LOL I was tired as heck and it was my first time! Not perfect, but WE LOVE IT!

Quality material & very affordable

This product checks all the boxes at a competitively affordable price. The Anchoring system and the goal itself is made with quality material. I have never put an inground goal in before and was surprised how easy it was to assemble. I would recommend this to anyone looking for a permanent goal.
