Advanced Electric Drywall Sander

I recently completed a kitchen remodel and re-skimmed the ceilings across my kitchen, living room, and dining area. With the help of a quality vacuum equipped with a bag, this sanding tool impressively captured about 85% of the dust generated. The investment in this tool has been entirely worthwhile, significantly reducing the time it took to sand an expanse of roughly 600 square feet. A word to the wise: ensure the tool is placed flat against the surface before sanding. I made the mistake of tilting it, which resulted in accidental grooves on both wall and ceiling. However, it was a quick fix with a bit of touch-up. I must emphasize how much this sander has simplified my work and maintained cleanliness. While it doesn't eliminate dust entirely, it is remarkably efficient, catching most of it. Just remember to pair it with a capable wet-dry vacuum that uses a bag for optimal results.

This does a good job sanding drywall joint compound and drywall primer. It can get heavy if you have to use it over your head for a long time but it works. It makes sanding drywall much easier than by hand and hooking it up to a shop vac (with a vacuum bag only!) does an excellent job of collection most of the dust.

As someone who's handy enough to get the job done but still learning, my first experience with this sander was exactly what I had hoped for: it's neat, efficient, user-friendly, and effective. I opted for this model over those with built-in lights because it can hook up to my shop vacuum and adjusts easily for my vaulted ceilings. I was thoroughly impressed by the amount of dust it transferred to the vacuum. I sanded in a closed room and was amazed to find almost no dust the following day. As for speed, I managed to sand the walls of a 10' x 15' room in just 30 to 40 minutes, honestly. The weight is manageable (I'm 63), especially on walls, and I've yet to try it on a ceiling. Overall, I'm really pleased with this purchaseit's straightforward to operate, versatile, and delivers great results. This purchase was definitely money well spent!

I wasn’t even considering drywall sanders when I ordered these, as that’s what they’re designed for. I was hunting for sheets for my orbital. Oops! Since they are sand paper, I still have plenty of use for them. I’ve already cut a few down to sand a trim project. They work great!
