It sounds silly to have a favorite trash can, but I really love the design of this bin. For my family of 5 - who has curbside composting in their city - an 8 gal trash bag takes 7-10 days to fill. The compost goes out weekly, the compost bag is small, so we may empty that twice in a week.It fits perfectly in the corner by our counters and the discrete recycling drawer keeps all of our trash, paper and plastics close and hidden.So far there have been no signs of staining which was a concern for the white, but it’s been durable against spills and bumps.The locking lid keeps the cat out and it opens and closes quietly with the exception of the click sound so you know it’s locked.I compared this with the price of the SimpleHuman version and thought for the same price this was a better value.
