I custom build a lot of our furniture at home. Normally I make modifications to off the shelf furniture that we do buy. Could this furniture use some improvement? Of course, everything can but I am nearly completely satisfied with it. The build instructions were pretty good, the parts were all easily identifiable, and the parts fit together well.This is a time consuming assembly, plan for at least a few hours. I did use power tools where I could to speed things up but if you do make sure not to over torque or strip things.Definitely layout everything in groups and in alphabetical/numerical order; it takes a little time upfront but makes the process throughout easier.The bed looks great, it's quiet even when moving around. Storage is great, very sturdy and ample room underneath. We did add some anti-slam door bumpers to the sliding barn doors just to keep them from jiggling when they are bumped by pillows during sleep.Negatives are minimal and are more personal preference on how I would have designed it. I would have used a different LED system more like Govee or equivalent wifi/app capable system for the strip lighting but my kid loves what it came with. The outlet placement is not where I would have put it but again, my personal preference.I don't foresee needing to do any additional reinforcements since it's a metal frame. We are moving in a little less than a year and intend to buy two more of these. One concern I have is how the wood slats mount to the frame and the plastic breaking but it does come with a few spares.All in all, good purchase and I recommend it.

I was skeptical to purchase this bed as when I purchased it there were no reviews. the only reason I am giving it 4 stars is the bed did have a couple of blemishes that i had to fix with wood glue. The bed was shipped in 2 separate boxes and it arrived in 3 days! It was originally going to take a week. The bed was very well packaged. Assembly took approximately three hours the instructions were well written and easy to follow. The built in charging station is really nice and the shelves in the headboard can be adjusted. For the price the bed is actually very sturdy. I would definitely purchase again if I needed another bed.
