This fiberglass fish tape is an absolute workhorse and clearly built for professionals. I used it on two very different jobs, and it performed flawlessly on both. First, I pulled 12/3 Romex from the basement to the attic in a 1920s Cape Cod—tight spaces, old framing, and plenty of obstacles. The flexibility and smooth feed made navigating those bends far easier than expected.I was equally impressed when I used it to pull 250 feet of 2/0 underground feeder cable through conduit from a house to a detached garage. The reinforced fiberglass core held up perfectly with no kinking or snapping, and the braking system made controlling the pull smooth and manageable. The length markings every two feet were extremely helpful for knowing exactly how far I was into the run.The high-visibility coating is great for seeing the tape in tight spaces with low light, and the non-conductive fiberglass is fantastic for job safety. The interchangeable pulling heads for different cable types make cable connections quick and easy. Being able to swap heads depending on the wire I was pulling saved time and made transitions between jobs seamless. This fish tape is pretty good considering it's $90 right now. I recently had a situation where we had run about 60 ft of 2 1/2" conduit underground and the Mason line got cut. This save the day because I was able to feed it through the two 90s and pull it out the lb on the other side. I didn't try to use it to pull everything back through because it was too slippery once you get lube on it... I pulled my nylon rope back through and got the mobile home feeder wire run. I don't know how well it would do for trying to push through conduit on a longer run than 60 ft but in this instance it was worth the $90.If you were pulling smaller cable and didn't need lube then I could see using it but I prefer using a rope. But for guiding it through it is rigid enough that you can shove it pretty good when you get to elbows.I would definitely recommend keeping it around for the random situations you run into when wiring up panels.

Nothing new here in design or use but is well made and sturdy. The line is strong but flexible. The stand is solid and stable. The entire thing is light weight and easy to carry. The wheel is nice and smooth without any jerking or kinks. Just a simple fish puller done right without any added features to break or fail.

Works as expected, durable, feels well made and was easy to assemble.
