Good value for the cost.

I’m giving 4 star rating based on the cost of the e-bike. I can’t complain about the quality versus the cost. I needed the bike for a short commute to work and I am happy with the bike’s performance as far as that goes. It goes 20-21mph with no pedal assist. I thought it would be faster based on the advertisement. I don’t really see how it could go 32mph even with pedal assist, unless down a steep hill. But, it’s fast enough for me and I feel driving faster on city streets would be quite dangerous. So I’m not really bothered by the speed but I would not advise trying to go that fast down a steep hill as the brakes aren’t good enough. The motor kicks in with a quick pedal assist and is quite powerful. Accelerates fast. I charged the battery and have used it several times and it still has a full charge. I like the display screen as it shows speed, charge left and other info I haven’t looked into. The headlight is pretty bright and so is the tail light. I like the switch to turn these on. Real simple. The appearance of the bike is great. No complaints there. The seat is comfortable. I’m 6 feet tall and no problems riding the bike. The handle bars and seat are adjustable and I don’t have them all the way extended. Some bad points:The owner’s manual is poor. It also includes set-up directions. Example: tire pressure is way too low at unboxing. The tire says 2.0 psi max. Directions say 35-50psi. I followed what it said on the tire. There was a part in the package that had no description at all in the directions, nor in any of the pictures. Something that looked like it should go on the handle bar. Don’t think it was anything important but annoying to not know what it was. Also, the manual says to turn on the headlight with the display screen but actually there is a separate switch to do this. The brakes I don’t like. They are way too weak for the weight of the bike. I weigh 160. The brakes are too weak in my opinion. It’s good enough for me being a careful rider but not good enough for a heavier guy that needed to stop real fast. Based on the low cost of the bike, I’m not going to complain but just don’t like the brake quality. The seat: I like the comfort level of the seat. BUT: twice now the seat came loose while riding the bike. I hit a bump and the seat pivoted backwards. Even after tightening the bolt that keeps the seat in position, really tight, it still moved. Some turn signals would be nice for safety. It’s a bit dangerous to take one arm off the handle bars and signal to other drivers when turning. It’s much heavier than a regular bike so, I feel turn signals a must.Overall, I am happy with the quality versus the cost. It’s fun to ride, does what I need it to do and looks pretty cool. I might make some upgrades later but for now, it’ll work.
