My husband uses this pump to pump diesel fuel into his equipment. It is so much easier on his back than lifting the fuel jugs up onto the equipment. This is a well made pump that pumps pretty fast. It does a great job and don’t leak. Well worth the cost.

I really like this unit it transfers very quickly

I like how the kit comes with barbed ends for hoses. That allows you to use the length of hose you want and not be restricted by a pre-made hose. It works well for my use as I have a battery nearby to connect to. it is not super fast but is much better than pumping fuel by hand. I recommend it if you need to occasionally transfer fuel by yourself.

Bought this transfer pump for my 55 gallon fuel drums to use at the desert. Power it off of my NOCO battery jump box and it runs wicked fast. Just make sure you tighten all the hose clamps really tight, mine leaked a little at the pump outlet and at the gas pump handle inlet…easily fixed but just make sure you check before hand. Pumps faster than a normal gas pump and has the same automatic shutoff inside the handle you get at the pump.

I got this to transfer fuel from my boat, tanks and generator when hurricanes move through. Sooo much faster than siphoning. Flow rate is good and it does self prime. Not for use with small engine tanks as the flow rate would overfill it quickly.I used 3/4" to 1/2" npt reducing bushings and 1/2" npt 3/8" hose barb fittings. 3/8" tubing is easier to get into my tanks. The supplied 3/4" npt to 3/4" hose barb fittings would be useful if you were transferring to/from 50 gallon barrels.The battery clips are convenient to run the pump off a car, truck or boat battery. I also ran it off two 12v gell cells from a UPS for short periods without any issue. Dropped the voltage only 0.5v during use.You won't regret getting this useful pump.

So far it’s working well. This unit is rated for all the petroleum based liquids. I have been using it for diesel and it has been working well. It’s just the pump only so you need to have the hoses and the dispenser and the transfer tank etc. It’s doing good work for now. I will update my review after I use it for a much longer period of time.

For years, I’ve been trying to manage leaving fuel (92-octane, ethanol-free) in my boat and project cars over the winter. Sometimes it's not much, but this year, I ended up with about 15 gallons in the boat tank. Being able to empty it into gas cans for use over the winter, before the octane drops, will give me peace of mind next spring when it's time to fire it up with a fresh tank of gas. Since my usage will be occasional, I decided to go with a clear flexible vinyl hose, as fuel won’t be constantly in the hose, reducing the chance of breakdown. A clear hose also lets me see the transfer as it happens.At 8 GPM, I wouldn’t recommend using it to transfer fuel to small gas tanks, as it would fill a lawnmower in about two seconds.The pump is extremely heavy and comes with a convenient in-line switch. I also appreciate that it's self-priming and easily primes with my 6-foot suction side hose.

I ordered this GARVEE Fuel Transfer Pump to keep on hand, in the event that I need to transfer some diesel to my generator in an emergency situation. My truck holds close to 30 gallons, which would keep us with power for at least a week, if we ever needed it for that long. Fuel transfer speed is fast and the 12v power leads make it easy to source power to the pump, even if the electricity is knocked out at home. Overall, I'm very happy with the GARVEE Fuel Transfer Pump and the peace of mind that it gives me, knowing that I have access to fuel if I really need it.
