A must for an aging pet/family member. My 135lb dog did well on day 1. I Showed it to a coworker who was having trouble with her large breed dog using the ramp they had purchased previously and they have now purchased this ramp and their dog is adjusting well. The material on the ramp makes a huge difference.

We upsized our vehicle and had to get a ramp for our pups to easily get in and out! It’s great quality, easy to use, and folds up nicely.

Finding a sturdy and reliable dog ramp has been difficult - but this one is exactly that!! The best feature is the fact that it can be anchored down to the car, with a strategic carabiner hook. If using it against the back of an SUV or hatchback, it clips perfectly to the door latch/anchor. The top piece/step ratchets down to have a perfect angle into the vehicle.It is pretty heavy, but it folds up nicely and smoothly with a handle to carry and store. It takes at least half a minute to set up each time, which can be a hassle, but it's worth it to see the dog have some autonomy. The whole piece is very high quality, including the carpeted traction pieces. The only issue I seemed to have is that it is still a little steep into the back of an SUV with a higher clearance. I used some rubberized thick foam to lift the bottom to finally convince the dog. At 63", I'm not sure how much longer I'd want it though. I originally got it for my dog who had surgery (but despises being lifted), but she refuses to climb it. However, it took only a couple minutes to train our HEAVY labradoodle, who handled it like a champ. His weight was easily accommodated by the structure too! At least it will be helpful for a safe and comfortable way to load into the car when there is snow or ice. It is a little pricey, but comparable or better-priced than others, and definitely of greater quality than most.

This is an extremely high quality, heavy duty, durable dog ramp. It is very easy to set up. It fits perfectly on the back of my Chevy Blazer to provide a gradual slope for my dogs. I have an Australian Shepard Cattle Dog Mix, that doesn't like it at all if I try to pull him up into the vehicle with his leash. He is definitely too heavy for me to lift. Now he feels so much more secure when he can walk up the ramp on his own. It never occurred to me that my Shih Tzu could use it too. As soon as I put it on the back of the SUV, my 8 lb Shih Tzu was walking up the back of the ramp. He thinks everything that comes out of a box is for him. lol It actually works out great for him, so he can now learn to get into the vehicle on his own without the need for me to carry him into the car. My dog felt very secure and comfortable on the ramp.The ramp is versatile and can be used in a variety of ways. I have a large trailer and it a bit too high for me to step up into the trailer. I will be using this ramp to access the trailer. The ramp folds up to a nice small compact size and it takes little space to store. I am extremely happy with the GARVEE Dog Ramp for Cars.
