Reviews
I was able to assemble it myself in about 25 minutes. It's surprisingly stable on our back lawn, which is made entirely of large bumps of hard dirt during drought seasons. I felt entirely in control during turns, even during the down slopes. I've used it to move around cement pavement blocks, about 300 lbs, and it didn't have any issues. The walls can be removed without any tools, but it's all-or-nothing; you can't just remove one since they're linked together for strength. Other than that, there's not really any customization to be done, like adjustable handle length. The handle loop does have a cover on it to help with a sweaty or wet grip, and it does a good job.
I’ve always wanted to get a garden cart for my large outdoor projects. This guy fits the bill perfectly! First, let's talk about the quality of the materials. It is HEAVY; about 40 lbs. It has 10” rubber, all-terrain inflatable tires and is made of heavy, rust-resistant powder-coated metal. The tires should hold up fine, but you may want to invest in no-flat tires if you will be using this to transport lots of heavy items over time. When fully assembled, it moves easily using the attached long handle and turning wheels. The sides can be easily removed if you are transporting larger items that require more of a flatbed style. Assembly took me about 30 minutes, but you’ll need some additional tools such as various sized wrenches or sockets, and regular and needle-nosed pliers. The instructions were clear and I loved how the nuts, washers and bolts were all shrink wrapped and sectioned off so all the pieces you needed for the next step were together. There was very little guessing and it really helped me to put the cart together. The size is big, about the same as a large wagon but with deep sides rails. This will definitely get a lot of use around my home, and it will work where wheelbarrows are not ideal. I feel the price point is good and fair for this item.
The GARVEE Utility cart is a small sturdy vehicle for all your gardening transport needs. It comes with assembly needed but is straightforward if you have some basic know-how with tools. You mainly need two adjustable wrenches or thick pliers to grip the nuts. Socket wrenches work too, but the nuts are so big I didnt have any that fit them. They are a bit tricky to tighten as you have to have a firm grip on both ends of the bolt and nut, with the space being a bit narrow. Other than that, it only took about 4 steps to assemble. The handle could've had some more cushioning in the grip but it does have a thin rubbery coating for grip. Not the comfiest grip especially if you're pulling a heavy load, as it digs into your palm. The wheels are nice and big for bumpier terrain. The main thing I didnt like compared to my other garden carts is how the wall panels don't stand up by themselves when not locked together. The walls kept falling over as I tried to lock them which was a bit annoying.
I’ve been doing a lot more heavy landscaping and gardening projects around the yard lately, and trying to haul heavy bags of mulch, soil, and tools in a standard wheelbarrow was getting exhausting. I decided to try out this 400-pound capacity utility cart, and it has turned out to be a really nice, dependable helper for making daily outdoor chores a lot easier on my back. The actual build quality is very solid. The steel frame has a good, sturdy weight to it, and the 10-inch pneumatic tires roll incredibly smoothly over thick grass, gravel, and uneven dirt without sinking or getting stuck. Having the removable mesh sides is easily one of the best design features because you can quickly drop them down to carry longer logs or wide flat stones, or keep them up to stack bags of soil. The included waterproof liner is another highly practical addition, letting you haul loose dirt, sand, or wet weeds without everything spilling through the mesh onto your lawn.My only real regret with this purchase is that I didn't go up one size. While the weight capacity is excellent and it holds plenty for standard garden maintenance, if you have a larger yard or find yourself doing major landscaping overhauls with massive piles of bulky branches and leaves, the next size up would definitely save you a few extra trips back and forth. Also, because of the mesh panel setup, the assembly does take a little bit of time and patience to get all the pins and brackets lined up right, so it's best to take your time during setup.
