This 1/2 black-coated hardware cloth is exactly what I needed. The coating is thick, smooth, and really well done it gives the wire a clean, finished look while adding extra protection against rust. This black galvanized ½" hardware cloth is exactly what you're looking for if you're building a patio. The black coating protects from rust and gives a smooth texture that makes it easy to touch and easy on cat paws. Having only ½" holes reduces intrusion by wildlife and gives more strength. This roll is 3 feet wide, so perfect for covering larger open areas and it's easily stapled onto the catio framing, just make sure to cover exposed edge with trim to sandwich it to ensure nothing is getting in or out.This is an affordable option for enclosing both chicken coops and catios with keeping safety in mind!
