Well built! Welded box frame

When the time comes you need a hydraulic press, not much else will do. Unless you're pressing bearings on long axles, I really don't see the need for a larger, more powerful press for home projects. This 6 ton is very portable compared to anything larger and fits well in any corner, out of the way space. Just slide it into the trunk of a car or an SUV if you need to take it somewhere. Rent it out to a friend for a couple bucks if they need one and they will probably be more than happy to pay it considering, nothing else will do, they won't have to buy one and they don't want one to own.Delivery was UPS and it took two days. Great buy.

This little press way a great value functions perfect. Seems to be good quality. Easy to move around. You can use it in a small area. Simply to use.

I originally did not have high hopes on this kind of press, but it really does the job! I needed to press bearings on and off a mower deck shaft. Just light enough for one person to move from the floor to a table. It held up to the job and have used it on a couple of car projects. If you need a cheap press for small jobs, this would be a good choice. It was fairly straight forward to assemble.

Springs and a bottle jack make up the mechanical function, while the frame is simple angle iron, albeit thick angle iron. That being said, just to press something in place (or out), sometimes simple is all that is needed. Despite my low opinion of it overall, it's simplicity lends itself to easy repair and replacement down the road. Additionally, it's low price ($100USD at the time of this review) makes it a low barrier to get a press in your shop - scratch that, in your garage.I wouldn't trust this in a pro shop or for high volume use. The occasional use and need, hobby level use, is the perfect load for this press. It's a bottle jack like you'd find in some cars, and the operation is just as simple. Tighten the bolt and pump the jack to extend, loosen the bolt to release the pressure.Another issue I had with this is that there are no assembly instructions. However, if you're even slightly mechanically inclined, using the photo as a reference assembly is really simple. There aren't many parts and each component fits in a specific place, you cannot mix them up and have them accidentally work.This press's simplicity and low cost is what makes this a hesitant buy recommendation. If used as outlined above, it's a nice addition to the garage and could save you some coin against having a shop do your press fitting for you. Again, I wouldn't trust it in a pro shop setting, so if you're looking for something for that work load I would skip this and look elsewhere.

Purchased it to press wrist pins out of pistons. It’s not the best quality press on the market, but it’s getting the job done. These days, it’s cheaper than a machine shop.
