Brown rugs fit in well with a wide variety of decor, especially with brown furniture. The checkered pattern draws the eye to the edges and creates a feeling of space in the center. This rug fits easily into our very ordinary washing machine and stays where it is put. Altogether this is a great buy.

We needed a rug for under our dining room table that could stand up to daily use and potential spills, and this one fits the bill perfectly.The 5'x7' size is just right for our 6-person dining table, providing enough coverage for the chairs to still be on the rug when pulled out. The checkered geometric pattern is modern and stylish, and the black and gray tones match our decor beautifully.The description says it's "soft," and while it's not a plush, high-pile rug, it is soft to the touch and comfortable underfoot. The non-slip backing is a huge plus, as the rug stays securely in place even with chairs constantly moving over it.Best of all, it's machine washable! Got this for in front of our sliding glass door, and it fits perfectly. The price is actually very good compared to similar washable runners out there. The non-slip factor is a plus, especially on our tile floors, which are slippery as all heck if your shoes or feet are wet, you have to actively lift a corner of the rug to move it across the floor easily, otherwise, it's staying put. Washing these is easiest if you have a front-load washer, but you can also hang it over a fence, or clothesline, and spray it off.
I’m so in love with the pattern of this rug. With the little checks that go around the edge of the rug in a nice broad edge I just love it! The color is really pretty too. It’s listed as a taupe, and it is. it’s got a rustic quality. That looks really nice in my room. The rug feels well-made. It doesn’t have a lot of pile but it’s still soft. The non-skid back, keeps it in place on the floor and the edges are stitched tightly. There was no shedding. There was no smell and I’m excited that I can someday put it in the washing machine. Very happy.
