This magnetic drill press is perfect for a beginner just getting in to metal work or even a workshop. It’s made with very high quality materials and is heavy, strong and durable. The magnet is very strong and although I don’t like to, you can easily drill with it overhead when you have the electromagnet turned on. The specific type of drilling I do, accuracy is very important and this does the job perfectly. It’s on the mark basically every time and the water cooling system that it has helps with this greatly. It’s pretty fast and can drill through steel, iron and more pretty easily as it is quite powerful. It can hook up to annular drill bits but also comes with a 5/8 Chuck as well so it has a lot of different uses. It’s a great deal for the price and worth every penny.
Ok, it’s a no name power tool so don’t expect Milwaukee or Hilti tool quality. Appears to be an identical twin to Vevor. All that said it appears to be good for the price. I haven’t used it yet just unboxed and assembled and test run it for a minute or so. Magnet seems strong enough, motor is a little noisy but not to bad. I think it will be fine in my home/farm shop. Really my only ding is there is no place to store the chuck key if you use the chuck for normal drills, but that’s being kind of picky.
Drill bits did not come with drill, however received e mail that they will be sent at no charge. Will see!!! 2/3/26 bitts came👍👍👍👍👍
I do a lot of onsite work and this drill has become my go-to. Strong magnet, compact footprint, and enough power to punch 1.5" holes without babying it. The long travel saves time moving the head. Twist drill adapter means I don’t have to haul an extra drill press around.
