This magnetic drill press is perfect for a beginner just getting in to metal work or even a workshop. It’s made with very high quality materials and is heavy, strong and durable. The magnet is very strong and although I don’t like to, you can easily drill with it overhead when you have the electromagnet turned on. The specific type of drilling I do, accuracy is very important and this does the job perfectly. It’s on the mark basically every time and the water cooling system that it has helps with this greatly. It’s pretty fast and can drill through steel, iron and more pretty easily as it is quite powerful. It can hook up to annular drill bits but also comes with a 5/8 Chuck as well so it has a lot of different uses. It’s a great deal for the price and worth every penny.
The drilling force is very strong, and it can drill holes as large as 1.57 inches, which can fully meet the needs of metal processing, construction or workshop use. The magnetic base is very stable, and the suction force of 13000N allows the machine to be firmly attached to the metal. It does not shake or deviate during operation, and it feels very safe. The speed of 820 RPM is just right, the cutting is smooth, and the holes drilled with the drill bit are clean and neat. The whole machine is sturdy, the materials are thick, and it feels heavy. You can feel that it is not a cheap and light machine. The built-in double dovetail groove design makes the adjustment more precise, and the adapter is easy to load and unload. Although it is a portable design, the machine does have some weight.
