That wasn't a dealbreaker for me, but I do have two children under the age of three, and my youngest is currently learning to walk. Since he takes plenty of tumbles, I decided to add a rug pad underneath for a little extra cushioning during playtime and walking practice. If you're looking for a plush, heavily padded rug, you'll probably want to pair it with a rug pad. The value received for the low price is fantastic. The colors are vibrant and the material and workmanship are top-notch. The low pile is deceptively soft. Notice in the accompanying photos how favorably the thickness of this washable rug compares to a non-washable rug we already own.The images plainly show that there are some ridges caused by the rug being shipped folded in the box rather than rolled. The photos were taken immediately after unfolding the rug, and the folds will flatten out after a couple of days. We have purchased similar rugs that have always smoothed out with a few days patience.

GARVEE Area Rug 6x9 is the perfect size and ideal thickness for the area of the kitchen that is next to a door. The low profile feature allows the door unobstructed operation. It feels soft underfoot without being overly plush or unstable. It’s easy to maintain and vacuum as it’s not so thick that debris gets deeply embedded.I was hesitant about the floral design initially, but it turns out to be delightful, brightens the room and provides enough details to hide stain and dirt given it’s in a high traffic spot. The tufted rug is washable but can also be spot cleaned with a damp cloth and mild cleaner. The nonslip backing stays put and doesn’t move around even on hardwood floors. The price seems reasonable given how lovely it is.
