The swivel mechanism is smooth and doesn't squeak. I was concerned about the PU leather feeling cheap or sticky, but it actually has a nice soft texture that doesn't get uncomfortable even in hot weather. It's also been remarkably easy to clean tomato sauce and coffee off of it with just a damp cloth. 100% recommend. The reviews here are accurate. Best stools I've owned.

Got these for our kitchen island and they look fantastic. The leather has a nice subtle texture. These are keepers! These replaced a much more expensive set. Easy to clean after spills.
