Metalworker Approved – Handles Steel

Drilled 1/4" steel brackets like butter with cobalt bits! The 7.5 Amp motor didn’t bog down, and speeds down to 288 RPM prevented overheating. Cast iron base absorbed vibration – no ‘walking’ on the bench. The 10x10" table is sturdy but wish it had T-slots for clamps. Worth every penny for precision!

DIY Hero for Home Renos

Built deck railings and cabinet doors with this press. The 45° tilting table saved me hours of jig-building! Variable speed let me switch from pine (high RPM) to laminate (low) instantly. Induction motor runs cool and quiet. Pro tip: Grease the column before assembly – it sticks a bit

Hadcto replace an old DeltA thst can't get parts. Over all a good press. I was able to dial in square of the table to 1/1000 inch. It strong enough to do what I need it to do. The support stem is taller than my old one. I made the table 8 inches shorter. Surface deck is strong enough to hold an extended table without flexing. Over all a good press.

Excellent mid range DIY press

Not sure what other drill presses are out there, but for the money and versatility, it is well worth it. I do not have a stationary sander right now and no plans to get one, this fills the function. The only desire would be to have some digital rpm adjustment but i guess those features are for the models up as this one is a purely mechanical belt driven mid range DIY press.

If you make a living with and use a drill press every day, then maybe get a jet. Otherwise you can't beat this one. Fantastic, Phenomenal, best drill press for the hobbiest, home owner, and weekend warriors. Or if like me you are just trying to not go broke setting up your home based shop. There simply isn't a better drill press for the money. My opinion.
