Nice propane tank cover - with one minor flaw

This is a pretty nice propane tank cover. It definitely takes a more utilitarian type of object (propane tank) and hides it inside a nice looking exterior - that can then be used as a small table. It's made of thin enough metal that I don't think it would be a good idea for anyone to sit on it. It's strong enough for drinks and food, and not a lot more. The directions are easy enough to follow, and it does come with a screwdriver and wrench. One of the weird quirks of the instructions it is says to use the same screw size for both assembling the sides and attaching the bottom tank holder. But here's the problem: There's 12 screws needed for the sides. There's 4 screws needed for the bottom. That's 16.But there's only 14 in the one blister packet section you're supposed to use for both the sides and bottom (according to the instructions).IGNORE THAT part of the instructions.Just use the four screws in their own little blister section for attaching the bottom tank holder, and you'll have two leftover screws for the sides. Trust me - it works. It confused me for a hot minute, but it all works out. Also, there's not really a good place to run your propane hose except underneath. But there's not a lot of room there if the "feet" are screwed all the way up. So you'll need to let those down to have enough room to do that, as there's insufficient opening in the "handles" to put the connector of a propane hose through. So, might help to put something soft like an old rag or towel between the hose and the section it goes under this unit. Not ideal, but probably safer. It's kind of a flaw that really ought to be addressed with a larger hole somewhere (back? side?) that has no sharp edges or need to put a hose next to the ground where a rock could puncture it. Anyway, that's the only minor issue - one star off for that. Other than that - it's pretty nice and looks a whole lot better than a plain old tank sitting there.OH! One more thing: The soft rubber squares that were inside the top to keep it from "banging" on the sides... they are not well adhered. Get yourself a small bit of VHB or UHB tape and re-attach them. One of mine was off completely when it arrived, and the other fell off when assembling the unit.

Turns ugly into useful.

I have a propane tank sitting on the deck of my tiny house that fires up the hot water tank of an outdoor shower. This is perfect for turning an unsightly tank into a useful table in a small area. It’s sturdy and keeps the tree debris off the tank. Easier to brush off the table than the tank. Very satisfied with my purchase.

Perfect solution!

Absolutely perfect solution to staring at my extra propane tank. Was the best price we could find. The assembly was easy and straight forward. Sizing just right and seems it will be very durable.
