For the money, this is the way to go. Install was easy, maybe 10 min total. Fit 2 smaller bags, blankets, pillows and my wife’s large pregnancy pillow… along with some misc items. Kept everything dry, clean and secure.Mounted on our cx-5 we drove 650 miles holding speeds of 70-80mph with no issues or bothersome wind noise. There was small dip in my fuel efficiency by 2-3mpg but I still managed to average 29mpg throughout the trip.When we got home, I unmounted it in about 10 min and easily wiped it down to be stored until next trip.

Installed carrier on 2026 Lexus NX350. Total vehicle height with box mounted is now about 81". Looks good. Seems to be a good box. Install was pretty easy and straight forward. Tried to order 2 spare keys just in case I lose them...they have code engraved on the side. GARVEE/Garvee were no help. Was told by GARVEE "cust service" person that they don't offer keys and to go to a local key cutter kiosk at national hardware chain. They could not help because keys are "side milled" so go see a locksmith. They added "this will cost you". I am pretty disappointed. May return the item over this.

The box is really light. Installation was straightforward except the directions for the straps (to hold stuff inside the box). I haven’t traveled with it yet so I cannot comment on that yet. I couldn’t find a photo online with this box on a 2021 Honda Pilot - so I have included one.

At first, seems a bit flimsy compared to much more expensive brands, but after driving with it for over 3k miles on all kinds of roads, I’m super impressed by this product.It also made terrible noise even entering a parking lot where the door was too low and it got caught, but no cracks or leaks or even much of noticeable scratch, so it’s pretty solid.Minutes one star because every now and then it gives me some grief trying to lock it.
