My kids love these!!! I really like the fact that they have a reverse feature and come with extra batteries. The batteries take 30 minutes to 2 hours to charge, which isn't bad. Iblove the fact that it come with 3 boats which is perfect so each of my older kids can have the same toy but different color. Helps from them arguing over whose is better or faster.
Good speed for the size. Good battery life. Easy to maneuver.
These little boats work pretty well. They're slow, but that's perfect for a swimming pool where you're going to have more fun navigating obstacles than sprinting across the pool.Pros:- They're a lot of fun, especially in wavy pool water- Good speed for the pool- They come with four total batteries and two charges- The plastic shell is durable. You're not going to damage the boat by running into things.Cons:- They don't reverse. The propellers can run in reverse, but the boat stays in place.- You can't control the turn radius. When they turn, one propeller turns off completely and the other stays on. You can't control the speed either.- The slow speed wouldn't be fun in a larger body of water like a lake or river.NOTE 1: You must put these in water for them to turn on! There are little metal discs on the bottom of the boat that make a connection through water.NOTE 2: You do NOT need to unscrew the bottom of the boat to replace the battery. There is a plastic lever on the top of the boat that you can turn to remove the top section and access the battery compartment.
Bought these "just because" for my family. Turned a boring weekend into an adventure at the local pond. Money well spent.
