Perfect for hard water areas

I used this last winter to distill water for my vaporizer. In January I had a head/chest cold that went into bronchitis and lasted for weeks. Buying & transporting gallons of water became expensive and annoying. It was so much more convenient to make my own distilled water and refill the gallon jugs I had bought. Definitely worth the money and I'll be ready for this next winter.

Good For CPAP Users

Helpful for folks with a CPAP but a bit time consuming, and uses a lot of power and water. I used it but still dought distilled water between making it. If you're faithful with it and have the time I think it is ultimately more cost effective.

great distiller! replaced my old one after 15 years!

I use daily and the easy cleaning and care is 100% worth the no large filters waste/plastic bottle waste, or awkward heavy 5-gallon refill trips to the store! Overall this has been a great purchase, was on the fence about quality but I feel it works very well without a higher price tag and definitely recommend this model. This finally replaces my original MH distiller after 15 years of daily use, which had it's own issues so I am well versed in distiller use and their care and this will be a direct comparison review. There were less options for glass containers and the first company I tried their faulty designed glass pitcher spilled with every pour. Bought from this company because from reviews they seemed good to work with if I should have an issue and can attest they were great to work with. The metal filter spout is easy to open, put carbon filter in, and close- huge improvement over my old plastic one that was a big struggle.Noise level is slightly less, it's a white noise and not bad but I prefer to run at night so I don't have to hear it because I am overly noise sensitive. It does make the room/area warmer so we do run it during the day in cooler months and at night during warmer months for this reason. While only slightly smaller in volume this still distills much quicker- starts dripping after 30 minutes vs 1 hour, and completes in 4 hours vs 6 hours, that's with cold tap water and does not vary much time wise during winter when water is actually cold in FL.Cleaning/care tips- I use a plug in timer set to 4 hours so it keeps a little extra water in bottom which makes clean up easier, otherwise the sediment will start burn on bottom.I have always used straight distilled vinegar with it's own designated dish brush to clean inside but I did try the provided citric acid again and it works well with a very small sprinkle mixed into a little water on bottom, it's somewhat quicker and better than vinegar but it does start to leave a white film after a few/several days where vinegar does not- so I switch back to the vinegar for a bit when that happens, and switch to the citric acid when I need that extra boost on cleaning- separately! no I do not chance mixing cleaners.Something that took me too long to realize on first one is you do have to clean the rubber gasket on lid otherwise it can get a build up under it that was impossible to remove once I did discover it, so I clean after each cycle to keep it easy- remove, run under water while wiping surfaces down, dip in vinegar or citric solution in bottom of distiller, (i use my fingers dipped in vinegar to rim around lid to remove sediment and/or use a dry cloth if it needs more help,) shake off gasket and replace on lid still wet.I also take a dry cloth to the top rim on base because my old distiller started rusting over time from when water was left in crevice.Dust does build up on the coils in top and you can try an air can or device to help remove. Also on my old lid unit the fan started to stick after a few years, so I bought a lid replacement then both started to stick I braved opening them and oiling fan connection and wipe everything down good but eventually both started sticking too often so finally decided to replace entire distiller- again very happy with this and will update any issues.

Excellent Product, but beware of Bear Copycats. I recommend this Vevo brand

This is an excellent machine. And my only complaint would be that they are sending out a plastic pitcher instead of glass. This is my third one.The first one I accidentally plugged into a two forty and destroyed it myself. The second one is still at my home.In california and i'm visiting in florida for a few months and absolutely cannot do without it.So I ordered one here and use it daily.I hope clear my body of toxins and cancers.Which are actually parasites, and by the distiller drip filtering through a charcoal bag, and then my adding in the bottom of my dispenser, a copper and silver pieces of metal that are sanitary.I am getting the colloidial silver and copper nanoparticles that are essential for my health.
