This is thick plastic and while it might seem odd when you touch it, once you lay it out and put furniture on top if it, it looks like a normal rug.It holds up well to the elements outside, including moisture and since it's waterproof, you can just hose it off to clean it. It's super easy to clean. It looks great and is easy to unfold since it comes folded and has built in crease lines. That means it doesn’t crease or get unnatural bend marks (since it has some from the build process). The design is perfect for an outdoor patio. And it measures exactly as stated. It’s a great value for the price!
