Opening the umbrella can be a little awkward; you might need to duck under it once it's partially open to avoid a minor bump. Have had this umbrella for a week now.  It's very nice.  I love that there is an on and off switch, not a light sensor so you can put the lights on or off when you want to.  Beautiful at night with the lights on.  Not too bright and not to dim.  Florida sun can be brutal and the size of this is perfect.  Sitting out now is much more enjoyable.  If your looking for a large umbrella, I recommend this one.  You won't be disappointed.  Very good quality.
