We set this umbrella up over our deck dining table, and the extra-wide canopy provides plenty of coverage for the entire seating area. The solar lights create a warm, comfortable glow after sunset, making family dinners and weekend barbecues much more enjoyable.

Nice, solid umbrella. Our solar lights don't work- bummer. But they were a side item. I suppose I can rewire them properly and put in a switch, but not a priority for me. Especially at this price. It's still worth it. They do provide instructions on how to re-rope it in case the rope binds or breaks, but not a replacement rope. Note: To avoid easy frustration, familiarize yourself with the crank direction. I recommend you crank it up enough to be able to put the latch pin in, then release it a little so the pin supports the umbrella rib-collar. This is big; I would say it's more 13.5 X 8, though. There is enough material so technically you could extend the ribs flat to 15 x 9, but you would break it in doing so. I have combined this with mosquito netting, which is another story in itself. All in all, a good purchase. Nicely provided are two large bags for sand with Velcro openings to fill & straddle the base cross legs for stability. We did not have sand; instead, we grabbed two 13-gallon kitchen trash bags and tucked one in each and then filled each from the garden hose, clipped them closed, placed them over the legs, and then a nice cover (provided) with straps hides all that. The provided bags seem sturdy enough to protect the water sack bags, which are quite heavy - your mileage may vary. It fills our side-walled 17 X 20 back patio, which was a cement solar death chamber before this. Now we can actually chill back there. Also good for braving a sudden rain shower. Whoo-hoo!

Surpassed my expectations

This thing is awesome! Very easy together, and really shades are deck! Even in some windier conditions, I am not afraid to use it. Highly recommended!
