The shelves are not a finished product ready to install. They still have a protective plastic wrap on them that will take some time to remove. You have to remove the wrap slowly or it will rip. The box they were in was barely holding everything together, good thing they added 2 straps. Overall I like the shelves, the metal gage is strong, the corners are rounded and nicely welded seams.
These stainless steel shelves are superb, high quality steel. They're very strong and are rated to hold 145 lb. They are extremely well made, strong 18 gauge stainless steel that comes with big anchors to install them with. Also nice S hooks to hang your pots from. With that large of a weight limit you can put a lot of pots and pans on that even cast iron cookware if you wanted to.We intend a different use for our beautiful new shelf. We have a small generator the iGen2500 from Westinghouse that we bought for emergency use. We're going to use this rack to store our new 46 lb generator on. If the power goes out we want to keep our freezer going.This shelf would look great in a high end kitchen and with such a strong capacity there are many other applications for it.
