sturdy well designed stair for outside use

I needed two steps up from the ground to a concrete patio. This inexpensive stair filled the bill admirably. The product arrived quickly and weighed perhaps 30 pounds. Upon de-boxing, my immediate thought was that this was going to be a tricky assembly. Once the parts were laid out however, the assembly was intuitive and took perhaps an hour. (I do this kind of thing in an off and on fashion)--ain't retirement grand. The assembled stair is very sturdy and the railings are a great addition- will it hold the advertised 600 pounds? Thankfully I'll never know.

Portable but Sturdy Steps

So far, I’m very impressed with these portable steps. Assembly was straightforward, and the size is perfect for the entrance to my storage building, which sits less than a couple of feet off the ground. Despite being placed on an uneven, sloped yard, the steps sit remarkably stable without any need to level the surface—something I honestly didn’t expect.Based on the description of the steel construction, I anticipated the unit to be quite heavy, but it weighs only about 26 pounds. That makes it genuinely portable and easy to move for different uses. It would be simple to bring inside an RV or load into the back of an SUV or truck. We chose not to attach the handrail since it would interfere with our door, and the steps feel solid and secure even without it. They support us confidently, even when carrying heavy items up and down.Overall, this is a well‑made product and worth the price. I’ll update this review if anything changes over time.

Good, sturdy steps, but little to no instructions.

When I initially unboxed these steps, I thought everything was too light to be of much use as steps into a trailer, but once I got everything bolted together & tightened up, it was bacame. A very sturdy se of steps. Assembly was not too hard, but harder than it should have been. I found myself guessing positions & correct rotation of the many pieces. This could have been easily solved with a few well placed stickers & some actual I instructions instead of an exoded view on a 1/2 sheet of paper. I did have to disassemble a few pieces & change their rotation to get everything in it's proper place & rotation. Since these steps are marketed for campers & motor homes, a lot of seniors will probably be purchasing them, & I can see them getting frustrated & just sending them back, or throwing them on the scrap heap. All in all it took me a little over an hour to get everything figured out & tightened down. The tools that are sent with this kit are trash. Make sure you have some metric tools available to keep from busting your knuckles. These steps actually turned out to be quite strong & good looking. They were well engineered & manufactured correctly, they just need much better documentation.

Poor directions

I received my stairs today and was very disappointed in the directions on assembly. The top step is very sturdy, supported well, but the bottom step does not have enough bracing, especially for anyone over 250 pounds. We had to add a support under the step.Overall, for the price, it's a good stair.
