Looks and feels great; needs a carpet pad

Thisnis really a good looking rug. The colornis vibrant and the distressed pattern actually makes it look like a higher quality rug. It provides a nice accent to my cream and blue living room furniture without being an exact match. I was rather surprised by the feel of the rug--it reminds me of a soft plush fleecebblanket.nlike, I literally love the feel of it under my fingers and under my feet. It makes you want to aly down on it.Unfortunately, with our hard flooring, laying down on this rug is in no way comfortable as of yet because it has absolutely no padding to match the softness of its piling. Because we all loke the rug well enough to keep it, I will be looking for a thick padding underneath.The rug says it is machine washable, but it vacuums easily and I can't imagine under what circumstances I would want to put it into my home washing machine. It is light, but not so much I'd want it in my machine.The edgesnif the rug are double-stitched as the product description indicates, but it's got a couple of places on the edges where it's not perfectly stitched and my cats have determined that the rug is a giant toy. The light weight means that it is easily disturbed and can ripple in some places and my cats are intrigued by this. It's actually quite adorable, but woth noting since a large animal like a dog would definitely cause the rug to go askew when running across it.Overall, the rug is a good value and looks nice enough as long as you know what to expect.
